WEEE is any electrical or electronic waste, including its parts, that needs electricity or batteries to work.

Any large equipment with external dimension more then 50cm

Equipment for the Generation of Lights
Lamps, LEDs
Any small equipment with external dimension less then 50cm
Vacuum Cleaners, Cameras, Toasters
Temperature Exchange Equipment
Freezers, Refrigerators, ACs
Any Small IT and Telecommunication Equipment
Mobile Phones, Routers, Printers
Not sure if your business qualifies as a producer? Let’s clarify: A ‘producer’ is any natural or legal person who:
1) Manufactures EEE in Malta and sells it in Malta; or
2) Resells EEE in Malta under his own name or trademark; or
3) Imports EEE into Malta on a professional basis; or
4) Sells EEE by means of distance communications from another EU Member State
or a third country directly to private households or to users other than private
households in Malta.

However, If you’re upgrading or replacing your equipment, at point of sale, you may ask the producer or supplier to take back your old equipment free of charge. Under the WEEE regulations, EEE Producers shall finance the collection, treatment and recycle of discarded equipment through their Collective Organisations.
